How to Insert an Image – Step by Step
Open the Whiteboard
Go to onlinewhiteboard.org/whiteboard/. No login or account needed. The canvas loads immediately.
Find the Image Upload Button
Look for the image icon or upload icon in the toolbar — it typically looks like a picture frame or a landscape icon. Click it to open the upload dialog.
Select Your Image File
Your device's file picker opens. Navigate to your image and click Open or Select. Supported formats include PNG, JPG, JPEG, WEBP, and GIF.
Image Appears on Canvas
Your image is placed on the whiteboard canvas. It may appear centered or at the top-left. You can now move it anywhere on the board.
Drag to Reposition
Click and drag the image to move it anywhere on the canvas. Position it exactly where you want it before annotating.
Resize Using Corner Handles
Select the image and drag the corner handles to resize. Drag a corner for proportional scaling, or drag edges for freeform resizing.
Annotate Over the Image
Select the pen, pencil, text, or shape tool from the toolbar. Draw directly over the image to annotate labels, arrows, highlights, and notes.
